Happy Halloween!

I'm actually going to do my Halloween plans (of watching horror movies and eating junk food) tomorrow because I'm actually working today. I do however have these completely unoriginal nail for you today. The pumpkin and ghost nails are from these that I've wanted to do since like last year. Also I can't seem to find the blog they come from just the pin... Also the patchwork nails are from this tutorial from Nailasaurus, although I did it all with a striping brush as I was feeling far too impatient for using tape.
I did base colours of Opi Suzi Take The Wheel and 2True Mila. For all the details I also used Sinful Colors Innocent, Barry M Bright Purple, Moyou Black, White. I topped it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I do love these nails, they're just so cute. I'm also so glad I didn't do Frankie as a whole nail like I was going to, but he looked odd like that with the others, plus you can (sort of) see his head bolt with him like this.

Stamping and Tape

Floral stamping images still seem to be my go-to ones when I want to stamp these days, but because floral nails to me seem a bit out of place at this time of year so I dug out a stamping polish I forgot I had as it's quite dark.
I used a base colour of China Glaze Kalahari Kiss (I seriously love this polish!). I stamped using Revlon No Shrinking Violet and CH16. After putting some tape down on each nail I put Opi Ink over the entire nail and peeled the tape off. I topped everything off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

No Shrinking Violet didn't stamp as opaque as I expected it to, but it doesn't matter. I still really like this mani. I glad I didn't  leave this as just a stamping mani and decided to add tape to it.

Texture Polish

I think I might be officially on the textured polish bandwagon, you know, only like a year late. I bought a lovely light blue textured polish from Claires', who seem to have some nice polishes in the new range. The textured polish I bought it called Teal, and it does indeed have a lovely texture, plus it's got some larger hex glitter in it aswell, which I love.
I used two coats of Teal on my index and ring fingers. On the rest I used a base colour of W7 Black and stamped over that with 2True Agalia and BM-221. I topped the stamped nail off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I was impressed with the Claires polish, as I was a bit unsure of what a textured polish from them would be like. But I think that when payday comes around I'll have to buy the purple one aswell.

Taped Gradient

I really wanted to do a gradient today, but I really wasn't sure about what colours to use. So I decided to browse google for some colour combos, but instead I found these nail by Will Paint Nails For Food. I wasn't sure how well mine would come out though as I've never tried a taped gradient like this before, but I love the finished result.
I started with a base of China Glaze Kalahari Kiss, seriously it's like the best base colour ever! I then sponged on my gradients using China Glaze Designer Satin (pink), Electric Pineapple (yellow), Barry M Block Orange, and three un-named Primarks, two blues and the green. I used the same colours for the dots aswell. I topped it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I know in the originals there are two rows of dots, but I only wanted to do one, so I decided to alternate coloured dots instead. I just wish the yellow had showed up better against the base colour.

Black and Green

A non Halloween mani in sort of halloween-y colours. I still really like this puzzle piece image, if I'm not sure about what stamping image I want to use I always seem to pause on this one even if I don't end up using it.
I did a base colour of China Glaze Turned up Turquoise. I stamped with Moyou Black and Bundle Monster plate BM-319. I added some black studs to the accent nail and then topped everything off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I could not photograph Turned Up Turquoise true to life, it's much more green and brighter in real life. It looks much better with a shiny top coat than it does left matte, it makes the shimmer look gorgeous.

Little Monsters!

These have to be the cutest mani I've done in a while! The monster image plate from Cheeky has to be my favourite one, although I've only ever used it once before as the full nail design doesn't seem to look right ony the nail for me. I also didn't feel confident enough when I got these to stamp the individual monster onto my nail,  but that has changed!!
I did a base colour of China Glaze Kalahari Kiss. I then stamped using Cheeky plate CH-32 and Barry M Block Orange, Raspberry, Nails Inc Culross Street and Sinful Colors Savage. I did the dots in the same colours I stamped in and topped it all of with Gosh Matte Effect top coat.

I seriously loved wearing these, they were just so cute! The only thing I wish I'd did differently is making the dots a bit smaller.

Going back to a Favourite

I am indeed going back to a design that I used quite a bit over the summer, stripes and flowers! Although I did it in winter suitable colours, as a bright mani might look a bit out of place right now.
I did a base colour of W7 Metallic Jupiter. I then used A England Guinevere and Sally Hansen Sky's The Limit for the flowers and stripes. I topped it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I'm quite proud of my stripes in this mani, I think I have definitely improved on the stripes front. I need more practice with the flowers though, they seem a bit all over the place.

Even More Blue...

Yup, I can never get enough blue it seems... Maybe I should try to set myself a challenge to not use blue for a while. Maybe not. Anyway it seems like I am getting better at using the hounds-tooth stamping image though. I mean I know that these aren't perfect, but they are the best I've gotten them.
I did a base colour of A England Galahad. I stamped with A England Tristam and Bundle Monster plate BM-322. I added some square studs to the accent nail and topped it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

Paisley

Stamping and studs might be my go to nail art for a little while, I just love the way it looks, it's simple and doesn't take long either. I also might have a new favourite blue this winter, China Glaze Man Hunt, it's just a gorgeous deep blue that's not too dark.
I did a base colour with Man Hunt, and then stamped with Bundle Monster plate BM315 and Barry M Silver Foil. I added a stud to my ring finger and topped it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I clearly wasn't paying as much attention to the stamping as I should have been while doing the index finger, as the placement is a little of and it's stamped awfully, but it wasn't really that noticeable in real life so I left it.

Cute Monsters

This sort of Halloween-y mani is inspired by Kayla Shevonne. I loved the base she used in her colourful Halloween mani, and I just knew I had to use them in a mani. I didn't do just stamping in my mani though, as I really wanted to use my black and white glitter polish again.
The colours I used for the base are Barry M Bright Purple, W7 Matt Green, and 2True Mila. I added Claire's B/W Glitter to my index and pinkie, and stamping using Moyou Black and Cheeky image plate CH32. I topped it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I had problems photographing these nails, most of the photo's came out blurry, I must not have been holding the camera steady enough... Also Matt Green is a bit darker and more grass green in real life.

Autumn Flowers

I wanted to do a floral mani with an autumnal feel to it today, so I went with a flowery stamping image in a purple that I think says autumn to me, with some studs thrown in for good measure.
I did a base colour of A England Guinevere. I stamped using Cheeky plate CH12 and Revlon No Shrinking Violet. I added some studs to my ring finger and topped it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I had completely forgotten about  No Shrinking Violet until I was searching my stash for a polish to stamp with, I swear I need a new system to keep my nail polish in so I don't forget about them all.
