May The Force Be With You

Heyy everyone! It’s now time for some nail art. I had no idea what to put on my nails after my hounds-tooth mani. I'm a bit uninspired when it comes to nail art at the moment, but soon there shall be lots of Christmas nail art!
Anyway, after about two hours of nothing I decided on Star Wars nails, which then led to wondering about what characters to put on my nails. I went with the rebel alliance symbol, Boba Fett, R2D2, Darth Vader and a storm trooper. The photos were taken with flash as it was dark and raining all day today... Stupid welsh weather. Anyway onto the nail art!!

The rebel alliance symbol took ages to look recognizable, I ended up doing it in grey, and then doing the red onto rather than outline with the grey. Also Darth Vader and the storm trooper look odd, but it was the best I could get them to look.

I'm going to do the run through of what I used nail by nail rather than just a huge list, I did a base coat of China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier as always.

Thumb: Smoke and Ashes (black), Hook and Line (grey) and Adventure red-y (red) all China Glaze.
Index: China Glaze Agro (green), adventure-red-y, Models Own nail art pen (black).
Middle: Beauty UK White, China Glaze Adventure red-y, Hook and Line, Barry M Cobalt Blue, Black.
Ring: Barry M black, Chine Glaze Hook and Line.
Pinky: Beauty UK White, Barry M black.

I used a small striping brush for all the details, and topped everything off with a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward to even out any bumps and make it look nice and shiny. Hope you all enjoy these nails as much as I do.

Fox earrings and Ring

Heyy everyone! Here’s yet another “Here’s one I made earlier” post. This time it’s a matching fox and earring set. These are made out of orange polymer clay, with the details painting on with nail polish.

Bead Bracelets

Heyy everybody! When I first started making things bead bracelets were the thing I made first. I think it was because they didn’t take a long time and they are so simple to make, although because of that I now have about 876487 of them… Ok maybe not that many, but still I've got a lot.

Blue line necklace...

Ok so I couldn’t think of a good title for this post, I suck I know. So anyway, here is a necklace I made a few weeks ago.

Hounds-tooth Nails.

Hey everyone! Here I have yet another nail art for you, but I’m going to lay off the nail art for a little bit after this post. I decided on these nails because I had no inspiration of what do to after the autumn leaves nail I did. So I went through my Bundle Monster plates to see if anything caught my eye.  I saw the hounds-tooth images on plate BM-322 and I went for that as I’ve never used it before.

Autumnal leaves

Hey everyone, I've got yet another nail art post for you today. I really wanted to do autumn themed nails today, so I searched for some inspiration, and I found an image of simple leaves and decided to go with that. Here’s the image I found:

I decided to only use the red, green and orangey coloured leaves, because I thought that if I tried to squeeze in all the colours my nails might look too cluttered. I used my usual base coat of China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier, followed by two coats of Barry M Blackberry.

Tiny star earrings

Here is a pair of earring that I made for my mum a while ago. These earrings are made from pale blue cats-eye beads with a Swarovski element multi-faceted bead. The beads are hung on sterling silver fish-hooks.

My first ruffle mani

Hello everyone, sorry that I haven’t posted anything in a while, I will try to post thing more often.

Today’s post is another nail post as there was something I really wanted to try. A while ago I saw this ruffle mani tutorial from Chalkboard Nails, and I really wanted to try it but for some reason I never got around to it. So here is my attempt of the ruffle manicure, I'm happy with the way it came out, as it came out better than I expected it would be.  So on to the pictures…

Blue on blue

Good afternoon! Here is a mani I did the other week, and I think that this might be my favourite stamping image at the moment. Onto the mani…

I decided on the colour scheme of blue on blue purely because I haven’t used blue for a while, and I seem to always go back to my favourite colours rather than use different ones at the moment. So after rummaging through my Bundle Monster plates I spotted the cloud image on plate BM 312.

Avengers bracelet

I'm going to do my first official post on one of my favourite things I have made. The Avengers bracelet.

The bracelet was made using 12mm connectors, and epoxy stickers. I chose to use the characters used in the 2012 Avengers Assemble movie rather than the comic books. I used the shield for Captain America and the logo for Black widow because I couldn't find an image of the characters that worked on a small scale.

L-R: The Hulk, Hawkeye, Captain America, Shield logo, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor
I know that this bracelet isn't going to be considered amazing or really requires and kind of talent to make, but it’s still one of the favourite pieces that I've made. Anyway I hope that maybe if someone see's this at least they might like it.

Welcome to my blog...

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I have decided to start a blog because I enjoy making things, mostly jewellery, and nail art. I’m not the best at either of these things, but practice makes perfect (and all that jazz).

I’ve only been getting my craft on for about six months now, but I hope that people who see this blog like what they see, and that I will continue to improve.

I live in Wales, UK, I’m 4ft11 (yes, I’m a hobbit…). As well as making jewellery and painting my nails I also love movies and own about 300 DVDS.
